The class begins with yoga meditation, breathing exercises, warm up, basic poses, cool down, and savasana. Flexibility-enhancing sessions emphasize deep, slow stretches of major muscle groups.
With a PhD in nursing from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, registered nurse Carol Dean Baker understands that wellness involves more than getting a physical every year. That’s why, in addition to her nursing practice, she owns PureBalance.
Dean’s interest in yoga began after she sustained several ballet and modern dance injuries. She wants people to connect to their deepest motivations and take charge of their health. Dean’s yoga practice has allowed her to become stronger, more flexible, and connect with her own motivations.
She completed her 200 hour registered yoga teacher training with Yoga Works and has completed Yoga Warrior training for those suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
